Rose Jean is the founder and owner of Chef the Rose located in South Florida. As a young child, Rose learned all the secret recipes and cooking techniques that had been passed down from generations of her family’s rich Haitian-American heritage. She has catered for some of New York’s most influential parties and currently resides in Florida where she has been able to expand her spice rack adding Latino and South American recipes to her now ever growing culinary repertoire.

“Chef the Rose is known for our FOOD! We are known for using fresh products. EVERYTHING is made using fresh herbs and spices. We do not believe in using frozen products at all. If we did, our clients wouldn't need us.”
HOW CHEF THE ROSE GOT STARTED
“I have been cooking since I was 8 years old. My family is known for having huge lavish events. My mom, my sister and I would be the ones preparing food for hundreds of people.”
Rose explains: “Growing up they instilled in me and all my siblings the importance of putting God first, the importance of family and the importance of having a strong work ethic.”

ADVICE TO YOUNGER SELF
“I would tell my younger self or any young person: "Don't try to grow up to fast, because once it's time to be an adult you'd wish you were a kid again."
WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE FUTURE
In the future, Chef the Rose will have a one stop shop catering hall where you will have access to everything you need to make your event a success, such as catering services, event planner, pastry chef, florist, photographers, videographers and dj's!
