WHAT JAYE JERZ IS KNOWN FOR
“I cater to fans in hip hop that look for substance in rap music without alienating the younger generation. Swag with knowledge is the motto ‘cause there is always a method to my madness.”
HOW JAYE JERZ GOT STARTED
“I started doing music since I was in preschool singing for my church choir and later on in my teenage years I realized I had talent for rap. I would say around the age of 13 is when I realistically started my craft, but didn’t take it seriously ‘til I was in my 20’s.”
ADVICE FOR SOMEONE PURSUING THEIR DREAMS
“Never give up on your dreams for anything!!!!!!!! And if you attain your dreams and happen to fall off for whatever reason just rebuild, redesign and reclaim your spot on that success ladder.”
His grandfather and his kids.
Jaye Jerz explains: “My pops raised me since the age of 2 and he instilled the importance of family in me. My kids are the reason why I continue to strive to be better every day and why I never lose focus. I do what I do for them so they don’t have to go down the same road I did. My favorite rapper Jay-Z once said in his lyrics, “like I told you sell drugs; no, Hov did that. So hopefully you won't have to go through that."
“Can’t should never be in a man’s vocabulary.” - The Great Zeek McCall, Love & Basketball
“That quote stuck with me for the rest of my life. Where there is a will there is a way.”
“Spending time with my kids ‘cause they are my motivation. Sports: basketball and football. I enjoy open mics and music of course!!!”
IF HIS LIFE WERE A MOVIE
If his life were a movie it would be titled, “Chronicles of a Man”
Jaye Jerz explains: “My life is complex and parallel to unsolved mystery. I have literally been through it all and I’m still here living. Maybe is should write my screenplay…hmmm…it could be dope.”
ADVICE TO YOUNGER SELF
“Stay away from peer pressure and negative energy ‘cause everyone doesn’t learn from their mistakes as I did.”
WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE FUTURE
“Dope music, as I’m working on my album entitled #M2MM (Method 2 My Madness). Come join me on this journey to induct some much needed diversity in music.”
